Workshop

And here is the new revised workshop. I relocated the tools to the pegboard space above the workbench. All of my painting gear is now inside in my new studio. This is my framing department. My collection of Christo posters is stacked in the lower right.

Working

It is the first day of the new year and I am working in my new studio while I watch the Rose Parade on a tiny television. It is the perfect set-up and I like it much more than my garage. I have a view that looks out the front window to the tree-lined street of Bungalow Heaven, my son Tyler plays video games while I work, a fire burns in the fireplace at the other end of the room and a cool breeze blows in.

This painting started as a detailed pen and ink drawing. I am slowly adding watercolor in light washes and heavier multi-color applications and accenting everything with little bits of white paint. The scene doesn't really have a center of interest, instead it is a busy array of every color in my palette and looks very much like the original view.
